Request a salvage estimate from Pickles
Pickles and Arnie are working on automating this solution to prevent Pickles users from having to log into Arnie and Arnie users from having to log in to PAIRS. This joint release is scheduled for April 2024. |
Salvage agents can be issued with an Arnie user profile to be able to receive and action salvage estimates directly within the Arnie application.
How to assign a job to pickles for salvage estimate
1. Navigate to the relevant job's View Job screen
2. Click on the Assign Job to Pickles link
3. On the pop-up screen, under Salvage Condition heading select the radio button next to the relevant condition e.g. Repairable Write off, Statutory Write off or WOVR not required
4. Under the Action heading, select checkboxes next to Salvage Estimate and Firm Buy Price as applicable
5. Enter the location of the vehicle into the Vehicle Location field
4. Click Submit
NOTES
- All actions will be logged in the audit history of the job including when the estimate is received from the salvage agent
- Once submitted/assigned to the salvage agent the job will appear in their Worklist and receive an email notification to a nominated address.
- Once completed it will remove from the salvage agents' worklist.
- Optional: Insurers or Pickles may request an email notification to be sent to a nominated address when a new salvage estimate is provided. This must be configured by the Arnie team.
- The Job will appear in the Assessor's Worklist once assigned. When the estimate is returned the Salvage tab in the Total Loss form will populate.
- Once the job is marked as a Total Loss (no longer pending), it will be removed from the Worklist.

Arnie and Pickles are planning a priority release in early 2024 to offer information messages to users experiencing transfer issues between the two applications. |
Arnie is integrated with several salvage agents, such as Pickles.
(Vehicle) 'Pickup requests' or requests for 'Release for sale' require complete information to progress with the job. In some instances, this information may be incorrect or incomplete and may require intervention to progress.
Prior to the Pickles PAIRS 2.0 upgrade, these messages used to appear in Arnie in real-time. Since the Pickles upgrade, these messages are no longer available from Pickles in real-time and will be sent via email overnight from Arnie. Arnie has integrated with Pickles for many years and experienced a low volume of errors - we expect the volume of these errors to remain low.
Error messages received from Pickles via Arnie
Notifications are sent from Pickles overnight via an Arnie email. These may include the following errors:
- "Cannot find (the) vehicle"
- "Vehicle on-site"
- "Unexpected error: Unable to Release Asset"
- "Error VIN"
- "Error Claim Number"
- "Error Registration"
The message received overnight will include; an (Arnie) Job Number, a (Pickles) RefNumber, an error message and any other relevant error information.
What to do if you receive an error message
- Look up the job number in Arnie to identify and troubleshoot the potential cause of an error.
Note: Sometimes these errors have already been resolved since the error was triggered and may not require any further action. - If the cause or fix of the error message disrupting the job cannot be found in Arnie, reach out to your local salvage agent to determine the status and/or location of the vehicle.
